As the news has slowly been reported, most of you must now know by now that the staff of We Sell A Tasty Life did not really go to Iscandar to get the Cosmos Cleaner, but were instead finally captured by the North Korean government. Kim Jong-il finally made true his threats of shutting down our underground podcast.

While we at Tasty Life would like to thank President Carter for his negotiations on behalf of our freedom, we are afraid we cannot keep the promises that he made for us. Namely, that We Sell A Tasty Life will stop our Korean government-undermining weekly podcasting of the best underground music Japan has to offer.

We Sell A Tasty Life must now truly become an underground operation, for fear of our safety, freedom, and even our lives at the hands of a vengeful Kim Jong-il.

From an undisclosed location deep in the mountains of Suzuka, under the watchful guard of the Suzuka Chainsaw Mountain Girls, We Sell A Tasty Life will continue the podcasting of Japanese Music with an Edge.

There will be some changes, but one thing won’t change: The best underground music in Japan will be brought to you by We Sell A Tasty Life. Because J-Pop is Just Pop.

While I’m not positive if this decision is permanent or short-term, or even long-term, I’m no longer doing this podcast. It’s way too much time, money and effort for absolutely no reward. I may decide to do a 5 year anniversary show in March as a finale, but I’m undecided on that point right now.
